TSURO Trust is a grassroots non-profit organization founded in 2002 and operates throughout Chimanimani and some wards in surrounding districts of Manicaland, Zimbabwe. TSURO Trust has focused its support to the 12,000 smallholder farmers who are members of the TSURO dzeChimanimani Association. The organization promotes multi-actor, sustainable, inclusive, as well as bottom-up approaches. The objectives of the organization are: to strengthen the ability of communities to self-organize, sustainably increase agricultural production, attain food and seed sovereignty, sustainably management of pasture and water catchment areas and adaptation to cli-mate change. TSURO’s core activities are to help strengthen community initiatives in areas of sustainable agriculture and natural resources management, processing and marketing of agro-products, community health (including mental and spiritual health), as well as seed sovereignty.
